J Balvin will perform in the metaverse; understand

Meta, in partnership with IHeartRadio, announced the show by Colombian J Balvin in immersive reality. The experience, which will last 45 minutes, will take place on February 17th, and will be broadcast on the companies' platforms. The show, titled 'Futurum: A VR Concept', is expected to feature 180-degree virtual reality performances.

According to official statement from Meta with IHeartRadio, the show will feature a customized stage and seven dancers composing the performance. Additionally, J Balvin, in the experiment, will be attached to a 4,5-foot robotic arm synchronized to music.

All in all, during the experience “Futurum: A VR Concert Experience”, the Colombian star will sing 17 songs, including the globally popular hits “Mi Gente” and “I like it”. 

J Balvin commented that he is “always looking for new and innovative ways to expand access to art, and the virtual reality space offers limitless opportunities. It will be one of my craziest shows ever, and I'm grateful to Meta and iHeart for the unique collaboration and the platform to explore my passion for technology in a way that allows my fans to experience my music together in a different way.”

J Balvin fans will be able to watch the show with headsets or on social media

The presentation can be seen inside Meta's Horizon Worlds, using the company's virtual reality glasses. However, for those who want to follow along out of curiosity and do not have access to a headset, the show will be broadcast on the IHeartRadio Facebook and Instagram pages.
