Adidas cut ties with Kanye West in October last year following the rapper's anti-Semitic comments. At the time, the company claimed it did not tolerate anti-Semitism or any hate speech.

Millions of Yeezy brand shoes, worth approximately US$1,3 billion (about R$6,5 billion), are in storage after sales were suspended. However, since the Adidas stopped producing shoes from the partnership with Kanye West, the value on the resale market has skyrocketed and some models cost more than double the initial price.
“What we’re trying to do now is sell some of that merchandise. Burning the goods would not be a solution,” said CEO Bjørn Gulden, adding that profits would be donated to international organizations that West had harmed with his comments.
If the merchandise is sold, the rapper will be entitled to previously agreed commissions.
