The arrest of activist Greta Thunberg, during a protest against the expansion of a coal mine in western Germany on Tuesday (17), is causing talk. On the other hand, the former vice president of the United States and environmental activist Al Gore said he was “in agreement” with the fight for Greta, in a speech given in Davos this Wednesday (18).

“I agree with your efforts to stop this coal mine,” declared the Nobel Peace Prize winner, in which he said that environmental activists are desperate in the face of political leaders’ lack of ambition.

“We are not winning” the climate battle and emissions continue to rise despite “all promess made in recent years to reduce them”, he stated Al Gore.
