O Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced what he called Russian “miserable tactics” following the bombings that hit 10 of Ukraine’s 27 regions.

“The enemy launched 81 missiles in a new attempt to intimidate the Ukrainians, returning to their miserable tactics”, said the president on Telegram. The attacks hit Kiev and nine other regions in the center, south and west of the country, he added.

The bombings caused at least five deaths in the country, four in Lviv (west) and one in Dnipropetrovsk (south).

“At the moment we know of four deaths. There are four adults, two men and two women, but other people could be in the rubble.”, he stated on Telegram.

The attacks caused power cuts in several parts of the country, including the capital Kiev. The mayor of Kharkiv stated that the city is without electricity, water and heating supplies.

According to the capital's military administration, “emergency power cuts do not allow heating to be guaranteed for 40% of consumers in Kiev”.
