Latest from Ukraine: Kiev denounces missile and drone attacks

The Air Force reported that 16 of 32 missiles launched overnight by Russia – from planes and a ship into the Black Sea – were shot down.

“Unfortunately, there were impacts in the north and west, as well as in the regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovograd,” the head of staff of the Ukrainian presidency, Andrey Yermak, reported on Telegram.

A 79-year-old woman died in Dnipropetrovsk, said the region's governor, Sergei Lyssak, who released images of a neighborhood with several destroyed houses.

The governor of the Lviv region (west), Maxim Kozytsky, declared that the attack hit “critical infrastructure”, without causing any casualties.
