A Microsoft develop a project that prometransform a person's photo (in 2D) into a three-dimensional avatar, with just a few clicks. Entitled "3D Avatar Diffusion", the platform was announced at the end of 2022 in a scientific journal article, but is not yet available to users worldwide. But, on the website, the visitor can understand how the mechanics of the algorithm work.

Similar to Ready Me Player: 3D Avatar Diffusion was developed with the aim of popularizing avatars and offering a tool that allows you to export 3D features to different metaverses.

Published in Arxiv, a scientific journal from Cornell University, New York, the article on the diffusion model provides information about its development in Microsoft Research. 

According to the publication, the researchers involved used a set of more than 200 3D facial models to train the algorithm. With this, the article suggests that all diversity and variety of faces and profiles will be respected.
