Facebook adds tool to combat false information in groups

Facebook added this Thursday (20) a tool that allows groups to automatically filter information already identified as false. The data is sent to a "quarantine queue". The measure is presented on the eve of the United States midterm elections and amid criticism against the digital giant for not being able to combat false posts sufficiently.

“To help ensure content is more trustworthy to the broader community, group admins can automatically move posts that contain information classified as false by third-party fact-checkers in addition to pending posts so that admins can review them. them before deleting them,” said Facebook CEO Tom Alison.
