Janja: social networks distill love and hate after interview with future first lady

Rosângela Silva, Janja, future first lady of Brazil, gave her first interview after Lula's (PT) victory for TV Globo's Fantástico, this Sunday (13) and provoked reactions - positive and negative - on social media.

It was a long conversation with the Fantástico presenters, covering various topics that included PT activism, the Lula da Silva couple's intimacy, and even the role that the country's new first lady should play in the next government.

Janja stated that she wants to “reframe the content of what it means to be first lady”. With a notable role in Lula's presidential campaign, Janja proved to be intelligent, articulate and averse to the conservatism that surrounds the position of first lady in Brazil.
