James Webb captures images of curiously shaped galaxy

And once again the James Webb super telescope surprised the world with records of the Universe. The new images released this Tuesday (2), by NASA, the United States aerospace agency, show a galaxy about 500 million light years away from Earth, called by the nickname "Car Wheel".

According to NASA scientists, the “Car Wheel” is in a transition process. It was probably a spiral galaxy, just like our Milky Way, but it collided with a smaller galaxy another 400 million years ago. This collision gave rise to the peculiar wheel-like shape.

At its core, there is a large amount of poehot anger. The brightest regions in the image are clusters of young stars.

The James Webb images are impressive because other telescopes, such as Hubble, have already recorded the “Car Wheel”. However, not with this enormous amount of detail.

Thanks to the infrared technology used by James, stars and regions with a barrier poewrath can be seen.

One of the main objectives of the James Webb, which cost US$10 billion, is to probe distant planets to investigate whether they are habitable, in addition, scientists are seeking to discover traces of the origin of the Universe more than 13,8 billion years ago,
