Just to update you: the REP, which was supposed to take place last weekend, was canceled due to the lack of structure ⤵️:

O Fyre Festival, which happened in 2017, promeyours will be a luxurious music festival. The packages, which cost up to US$100, promeThey had comfortable accommodations and the “best of food, art, music and adventures” on a Caribbean island. The festival's attractions were Blink-182 e Major Lazer. Dream, no?
But the dream turned into a nightmare: Instead of comfortable and luxurious accommodation, the public was placed in tents and mattresses on the ground to camp – which were even soaked due to the rain. As for the food, it was limited to sandwiches with two slices of cheese, lettuce and tomato. To make matters worse, the luggage of those who paid for the service were left lying in a parking lot that had no electricity.
The foreign festival was going to take place in the Bahamas and was promoted by numerous important influencers, such as Kendall Jenner e Bella Haddid, who later stated that they were paid for it. The festival, then, ended up being postponed indefinitely, and then canceled 😱.

The organization of the event even tried to justify itself, but was sued for numerous reasons, such as failure to pay employees and scamming participants. The refund, however, was never made.
Will it be REP Festival’s turn?
In the 2023 edition of the REP festival, the biggest rap and trap festival in Brazil, the famous and traditional Cidade do Rock, from Rock in Rio, would become the Cidade do Rep. The event would take place in Barra da Tijuca, but the address was changed ten days earlier to Guaratiba, which is about 30 kilometers from the old location.
The public had to face up to 3 hours of traffic to reach the site. The event even asked people not to go by car or bus, and encouraged them to buy the festival's own transport package, which was late and had long queues.

Behind this recommendation there was a subliminal message: DO NOT GO!
With paid tickets, many people decided to go. Result: chaos in Guaratiba. The music festival with the biggest names on the national scene was a fiasco! Instagrammable installations promethought by the organizers were covered in mud.
The failure was predicted by the tweeters on duty, who tried to sell tickets while there was still time. 😅

The artists even took risks on stage and tried to restore the morale of the event: Banda Oriente defended the organization and stated that this was 'rap', shouting 'maximum respect'.
MC Maneirinho, who was shocked by the microphone, came to the organizers' defense, but was booed every time he tried. Despite the confusion, the friendly singer managed to overcome the difficulties and his show was one of the best of the night.
MC Hariel, a funk artist from São Paulo, was the first to cancel his participation on the second day of the event. The São Paulo rap group Racionais MCs also announced the cancellation of the show that would take place on Saturday (11).

Is it really bad?
The main stage shows, which were supposed to start at 15pm, only started at 19pm.
Even with the chaos discussed on social media, there were people arriving at the event unaware, with basic questions: “Is it really bad?”, “Who had a show?”, “Has Racionais already played?”.
This was the first day of the REP festival, with a line-up of 100 attractions: mud, frogs and even snakes
There was no “look” that could resist so much rain and mud: a raincoat became a uniform there 😩.
